Patient Assistance Programs
While RxCrossroads offers traditional Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) that utilize manufacturer programs that serve qualified non-insured and under-insured patients, RxCrossroads also specializes in extensive searches for alternative means of assistance. In the event no other assistance is available, patients are screened through RxCrossroads, and if found eligible, free products are sent directly from the RxCrossroads'® pharmacy.
RxCrossroads extensive PAP experience also affords the opportunity to create programs based on the specific criteria and eligibility qualifications of each manufacturer. Based on knowledge accrued from working with a variety of programs, RxCrossroads has compiled aggregate information highlighting how other manufacturers have created their own programs.
Because each manufacturer has their own legal tolerances around PAPs, program specifics can vary. Sometimes it is helpful for clients to view aggregated information illustrating how other manufacturers have chosen to structure their programs:
- 92% of our client base provides for some type of patient assistance funding
- 100% of our client based requirements include either U.S. residency or U.S. citizenship
- 27% of clients only provide assistance when the patient has no insurance and is not eligible for any public programs. The remainder of our clients will provide assistance to underinsured patients subject to out-of-pocket expenses (either dollar amount or percent of total annual income).
- 100% of our clients have an income requirement, accounting for the relative cost of the product and often based on a percentage of the federal poverty level (FPL)
