Warehousing and Logistics Services

In 2011 RxCrossroads opened a new, state of the art Frozen Plasma Center in KY. The plasma freezer warehouse fully qualifies at ≤ - 25 Celsius, with over 16250 square feet of space and a 1.77 million liter capacity. The RxCrossroads system incorporates multiple layers of power backups and system redundancy to ensure the integrity of every product processed. This includes:

• Shared ammonia refrigeration system with compressor redundancy
• Separate, fully functional back up freon refrigeration system
• Back up power generator with onsite fuel capability
• Separate back up temperature alarm system
• 24/7 monitoring and recording of refrigeration systems and freezer temperatures, with real time remote accessibility and call out alarm capability
• Separate, independent back up monitoring and alarm systems
• CTPAT certified secured facility with fencing, access control and alarms, and camera surveillance.

The facilities have the scalability and capability to store a large number of plasma and related products at a wide range of temperature-controlled environments, including refrigeration, frozen and deep freeze levels. Products are stored until they are ready to be shipped to the biotechnology or pharmaceutical facility for processing, whether they are destined for processing centers in North America or Europe. We are the only third party logistics firm certified by both the FDA and the German Health Agency (GHA).

RxCrossroads offers real-time inventory visibility via web access, and service level accuracies that are tracked and trended, showing proven performance. RxCrossroads' various logistics services range from unit lookbacks and coordination of the destruction of units withdrawn, to coordination and preparation of land, air, and ocean shipments.

Freezer Transportation Services

RxCrossroads' fleet of vehicles circulates the country to pick up plasma from blood banking centers and delivers them back to one of our central storage facilities in KY. Once the plasma fractionation process is complete, RxCrossroads picks up the processed plasma and coordinates distribution through our network of specialty pharmacy centers. From there, the plasma is delivered to the patient, completing the logistics cycle. In each step of the storage and distribution process, our advanced tracking systems continuously monitor each and every package to ensure that the product is being handled to the exact specifications set by our clients.

RxCrossroads has a premium, customized refrigerated fleet dedicated to frozen plasma operations. All fleet vehicles are less than five years old, and are fully and independently tested and qualified. All vehicles contain:

• State-of-the-art refrigeration units
• Back up refrigeration units
• Separate and redundant temperature monitoring and recording systems, viewable in real time via satellite communication with refrigeration unit operation status and Hi/Lo temperature alarm capability
• GPS tracking devices.

RxCrossroads utilizes drivers on a dedicated, exclusive basis who are experienced, motivated and highly trained. All drivers are competent in operations of the trailer and refrigeration systems, handling and processing procedures, cGMP and regulatory requirements. In addition, all drivers are TSA trained and certified. Rxcrossroads' expertise and experience has enabled the establishment and maintenance of a proven, extensive LTL route system with presence in every state in the continental US each week, as well as serving most International Airports. Dedicated service is also available upon request. RxCrossroads can assist with the placement of appropriate and capable storage trailers for emergency use nationwide. Freezer Transportation Key Performance Indicators have been established and are tracked and reported, providing measurable, proven performance in temperature controls, material handling/protection, and on-time performance.
